About Us

“The Bella Life” Blog is the brainchild of a group of women, from all aspects of life, getting together to collectively share what they feel makes life beautiful. This blog is dedicated to sharing with others the many things in our everyday life that bring about beauty: decorating and lifestyle ideas, creativity projects, spirituality and wellness, daily inspirations, community outreach as well as products and services. Our goal is to inspire women to create their own unique beautiful life. With the hope of reaching out to the entire world, “The Bella Life”, will be updated several times daily featuring an eclectic range of topics including everything from: décor and furniture, to entertaining ideas, along with product reviews, store and home tours, do-it-yourself projects and videos, contests, featured artisans as well as “life’s little moments”. We hope to engage and encourage our readers to share with us their own personal experiences.

The Bella Girls

The idea for this “beautiful” blog began with ME, the oldest member of the group, Debbie Poulsen-McRae. (Lovingly referred to as “Debs” by my kids and close friends.)
My life is filled to overflowing with my overwhelming passions for creativity, organizing, business, music, art, entertaining, traveling, and improving relationships with those I love. All of which has led me into many different arenas throughout my life: from obtaining a nursing degree in my 20’s, to interior design consulting in my 30’s; as well as, establishing my own retail décor store, Bella Fine’, in my 40’s. Now, as I begin a new decade in life, I want to share the things that I’ve learned (many times the hard way) with others. Ask me anything…. I will always come up with an answer.
If asked what the greatest accomplishment of my life is thus far, I would have to say my children: 5 of my own and 3 that I get to share with the love of my life, my husband, Gary.
My own personal goal for “The Bella Life” blog is to provide a fabulous place for women to visit-where they become enlightened, find resources, learn something new, connect with other talented women, decompress from life’s stressors as well as laugh about the common things in life-just a few more things that I’m passionate about!

My name is Camberley Woods (AKA Cammie, Cam Bam, Cam Bot, Cama-lama-ding-dong, Cam-eleon) and I am an Arizona native. I currently live in the Phoenix area with my husband, our two dogs (Bebe and Snatch {how they got their names is another post in itself}), our lovebird (Cricket), and our large 150 gallon salt water aquarium (I would list all our saltwater friends’ names, but we have casualties from time to time). I graduated from ASU as a Marketing Major Extraordinaire and I am contemplating whether or not I should go back for my MBA in January. About a year ago, I set out on my quest to conquer corporate America one rung at a time (or shatter the glass ceiling…whichever comes first).

My day typically starts out by waking up at the crack of dawn (because I’ve got to beat my co-workers into the office). Then, I hastily throw on my clothes (which I laid out the night before). Next, I grab my already prepared lunch (which consists of lettuce, chicken, an apple, low-fat string cheese, watermelon, wheat thins, etc.) out of the fridge and begin my thirty minute commute to the office (while swigging down my protein drink and listening to NPR)…yeah….I guess I’m what they call an obsessive compulsive overachiever. Ask my co-workers.

On my free time, I am a Social Media Freak, Foodie, Feminist (who says the wife can’t be the primary bread winner?) LA Fitness member, Animal Enthusiast, World’s Greatest Wife, #1 Aunt, Self Proclaimed Interior Designer, Music Aficionado, Gardener, et cetera. (Okay, I admit, I’m really not that great….but I try).

What annoys me? A lot of talking and not enough action, unmet deadlines, the dark cloud hovering over human resources, people who use verbose vocabulary to look cultured {the uneducated + a large vocabulary = shut your mouth}, an unorganized house…..I could keep rambling on…..but I’ll spare you the details.

I am ecstatic to be a part of “The Bella Life”. Social media is a passion of mine, and to be able to contribute to this blog is a dream come true. I look forward to sharing my life’s experiences, my love for food and entertaining, my passion for creativity and design. My hope is that my contribution to this blog will cause you to take a step back and reflect on your own beautiful life.

Who am I? Well that my friends, is a question which I contemplate daily. Not only do I wonder what do I want to be? What makes me the person I am? What makes up the CORE of me? But, I literally wonder sometimes “who in the heck is that voice running my thoughts!?!?” (I wish there was some device which would allow you all to tune into my thoughts, because I have to say…its beyond entertaining.)

There is one thing I know for sure, I am what I like to call ADHD about life. I want to be everywhere and be everything. I started my college career off as a business major. Then, I switched to Real Estate Development. Quickly followed by a blurp in the Nursing program. Went back to Business. Spent a day as a Religions major. Now have decided HISTORY here I come!

Maybe it’s not a lack of knowing who Keighley is, but lack of taking a deep breath, calming down, and letting ME happen. Although my life is completely chaotic and my future is one giant question mark, I have hope things will one day come together. Because I can laugh at anything and I am quite FABULOUS!

My personal objective for the blog is to share my expierences of being a 23 year old desperate housewife, share my journey to optimal health (which you will immediately realize is an oxymoron), and show at least one person how to “Bella”-ify their life! I’m thrilled to be apart of “The Bella Life” Blog. I am amazed that I get to work with these dynamic divas.
